Cultivar:
46% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4.5% Shiraz, 3.5% Petit Verdot.
Winemakers Note:
The wine has a dark plum red colour. Red and black berry fruits join together in harmony. The subtle wood aromas add savoury character to create a delicious spicy wine. The fruit continues to linger on the aftertaste.
Wine of origin:
Western Cape, South Africa.
Vinification:
The different cultivars are harvested and vinified separately, and the blend is only made after the individual wines have been made. All the wines have been fermented in stainless steel tanks with the aid of selected yeast strains and the resulting blend was infused with French oak chips for a period of 12 months.
Food pairing:
Chicken, pork, and lamb, as well as tomato-based dishes and pasta.
